Thanks a lot for this guide.
I just wonder some of the next steps regarding what I'd like to achieve with my own certification authority
I am deploying an intranet website on servers and clients with no internet access.
I want people in their local computer to access this intranet without having the "NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID" message in chrome.
It is OK to deploy a CA Root authority certificate on all the client workstation so that chrome will use it to certify https requests to the apache webserver without any warning messages from chrome.
I have followed this guide with no problem,
But now what would be the next steps :
On apache server side :
Which files should i deploy ? equivalent of www.example.com only (cert.pem and key.pem) ? ca.cert.pem ? ca-chain.cert.pem
Which apache parameter should I modify to point the correctfiles knowing that I have : SSLCertificateFile, SSLCertificateKeyFile, SSLCertificateChainFile, SSLCACertificateFile in my virtual host.
On client side :
* Which file should I import into "trusted root certifcate authority store ? ca.cert.pem ?
I would appreciate your help.
